Winnie Ruth Judd's fore and profile booking shots. In the photo at right, her booking
number "29954M13" is posted.

Hedvig Samuelson's blue diary, in which she chronicled events in the lives of the three friends,
"Sammy, Ruth and Ann." One of the entries in the book of secrets with a lock on it reads,
"Hedonist--doctrine that pleasure is the chief end of man."

H. J. McKinnell's letter to his daughter, accused murderer Winnie Ruth Judd, admonishing her
to remain steadfast and Christian during her trial. Dated October 24, 1931.

Winnie Ruth Judd's rambling letter to her husband. She addresses the letter to "Dearest Doctor",
and professes her love to him. The letter was written on Saturday, possibly after the murders
were committed.

Winnie Ruth Judd murder victim, taught (in 1926-27).

Portrait of Justice Clarence E. Ice, who presided at Winnie Ruth Judd's preliminary hearing.
His stern look earned him the nickname "Cold" Justice.

Winnie Ruth Judd plays with her bandaged hand, as she speaks to Gene Biscailuz,
Undersheriff, holding his hat at her left.

Winnie Ruth Judd rests, with eyes shut, as her hand is being treated at the hospital. She shot her own
hand after she killed LeRoi and Samuelson, in order to claim self-defense. Her husband, Dr. William
Judd, stands over her head, and her brother, Burton J. McKinnell, watches at her side. Judd rejected
general anaesthesia in fear that she would babble secrets while unconscious.

Photo of the hat box and black bag the Winnie Ruth Judd used to store the 25 caliber automatic gun
and surgical instruments after the murders. The surgical bag contained small knives with which
Judd dismembered Samuelson's body. Photograph dated October 20, 1931.
