Police said Monday, July 6, 2009, that they've solved the mystery of what happened to Amber Swartz-Garcia, a 7-year-old Northern California girl who disappeared after going out to jump rope in front of her home 21 years ago. Pinole Police Chief Paul Clancy said Curtis Dean Anderson confessed in 2007, a month before dying in prison, that he kidnapped and killed Amber.
