Victims: Office Depot deliverymen
Michael Trinidad, 29, and Richard Moriel; 26-year-old Redondo Beach
woman
Status: On appeal, not briefed
Arisman walked into the computer
training business, asked a 26-year-old woman for real estate listings,
pulled a gun and forced her into a back room, where he tied her up and
sexually assaulted her.
Trinidad and his partner, Moriel,
soon arrived with a delivery. Arisman confronted them, tied them with
ropes and choked them to near unconsciousness.
Arisman then shot Trinidad in the
heart.
The woman broke free, fought with
Arisman and ran into the front office, where she alerted a parking
officer outside.
Arisman ran, but was quickly
arrested.

VACAVILLE, Calif. -- California
prison officials say a condemned inmate has died in hospice care before
he could be executed.
According to the state
Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, 61-year-old David Arisman
died after 5 a.m. Saturday at a prison medical facility in Vacaville.
Arisman, who was transferred from San Quentin State Prison, was
sentenced to death row 10 years ago for the 1997 murder of Michael
Trinidad.
A delivery man was shot to death and another was choked unconscious
after they interrupted a lunch-hour sexual assault on a secretary on
Friday.
A suspect, David Arisman, a 47-year-old parolee with
a history of violence, was arrested shortly after the attack in this Los
Angeles suburb, officials said.
The identities of the victims were withheld pending
notification of their relatives, the authorities said today.
The attacks occurred shortly before noon at Answers,
a small business that had opened four days earlier. Two men who were
delivering furniture to the store either happened onto the attack or saw
it through the window and tried to intervene, the business owner said.
The 26-year-old secretary was hospitalized.
