Summary:
While in the Hamilton County Jail Annex awaiting sentencing for an
Aggravated Murder charge as a self-described "hit man" for a group of
Cincinnati drug traffickers, Carter attacked fellow inmate, Johnny Allen,
33. The muscular Carter choked, stomped, punched and kicked Allen during
the 25-minute fight, beating him to the point that Allen's mother later
said he was "so bruised he was unrecognizable." He died two weeks later.
Carter paused long enough during the beating to periodically wipe the
blood from his sneakers. The fight had apparently started after an
argument two weeks earlier over what to watch on television. That
altercation resulted in Carter punching Allen, but the incident was not
reported. Allen was being held on a Theft charge.
