Facts of the Crime:
Charged with four of the San Diego killings and given the death
penalty for two. He was charged with the killings on June 25, 1992,
while he was serving a 22-year sentence for sexual assault at Corcoran
State Prison. The suspected serial killer was returned to San Diego
where he was arraigned on four counts of murder, two counts of attempted
murder, and single counts of rape and sodomy. Jones is believed to have
left his four victims in dumpsters within a two-block area in East San
Diego.
