May 1. 2007 - Kirk Lankford made his first appearance in District
Court yesterday.
He is charged with
the murder of Japanese citizen Masumi Watanabe, who was
last seen
April 12 near Pupukea.

sentenced yesterday afternoon in Honolulu Circuit Court. Lankford
received the maximum
sentence for second-degree murder: life with the possibility of
parole.
