Linda Hazzard was a self-styled physician who developed a cult
following through her books and
curative treatments, typically
involving enemas and fasting. About 40 people are believed to
have
died under her care - many through starvation at her Olalla home.

several people for a variety of illnesses.
Several people under her
care starved to death, but not before Hazzard robbed them of their
clothes,
jewelry and life savings.

After her 1911 murder conviction and short prison term, Linda
Hazzard returned to Olalla to build
a 100-bed sanitarium. It burned
down in 1935.
