Wilson Henry Boyd was executed at the Nevada State Prison on May 28, 1940 for the crime of murder. He was convicted of murdering Floyd and Georgianna Robinson, after a disagreement between Boyd and Floyd Robinson.

The crime took place in Elko in eastern Nevada on February 24, 1940. He was convicted on March 14, 1940 and executed two months later. Boyd was a native of Tennessee and 44 years of age.

He claimed he had been drinking for a couple of days, and also claimed it was committed in self-defense. He shot Georgianna Robinson, he said, because she had grabbed a butcher knife after he had shot her husband.
