A man convicted of a 1974 murder and robbery has been denied parole. 52 years-old Barry Austin Brown was convisted of robbing and murdering a night clerk at a Santa Cruz 7-11 store.

Brown argued that he has been a model prisoner for 31 years now, and so he has paid his debt to society.
