On November 18, 1954, the rifle which was used to kill the Drummond family was presented during
Gaston Dominici's trial at the courthouse. In August 1952, an English family was assassinated in
Lurs. The weapon of the crime was found floating in the Durance. Clovis Dominici, son of the owner
 of the site, reacted strongly upon seeing the weapon but got a hold of himself rapidly and despite the
pressing questions of Police Chief Sébeille, he made no declaration which would allow the inspection
to advance.

The M1 carbine (formally the United States Carbine, Caliber .30, M1) is a lightweight, easy to use,
.30 caliber semi-automatic carbine that was a standard firearm for the U.S. military during World
War II, the Korean War and well into the Vietnam War.
