John Donald MERRETT

John Donald Merrett, who was tried for the murder of his mother in 1927. The verdict was unproven
as ballistics could not ascertain if the gunshot wound from which she died was suicide. He changed
his name to Ronald Chesney, and was later convicted of killing his wife Veronica Bonnar and mother
