Michael Robert Tucker

A jury in 1988 sentenced Tucker to die for the aggravated murders of Robert and Barbara Farmer of Rickreall. The Farmers were in their 70s at the time. Co-defendant Bryan Mikesell is serving a life sentence for his part in the crimes.

Tucker and Mikesell intended to burglarize the place but found the couple home. Mikesell wanted to leave, but Tucker went inside and shot the couple as Mikesell watched through a window. Tucker's sentence was overturned because of a 1989 U.S. Supreme Court ruling.

Interesting fact: Although Tucker and Mikesell ransacked the house, they missed the $2,500 in cash the Farmers had stashed in a freezer.
