Burton Franklin Williamson
was executed at the Nevada State Prison on November 21, 1939 for the
crime of murder.
He was convicted of murdering his wife on August 27,
1939.
His trial came a month later where Williamson pleaded guilty and
was executed two months later.
Williamson killed his wife Pauline
outside a dance hall in Churchill County. The crime occurred at Salt
Wells by a CCC camp. He accused his wife of "chippying around."
Williamson was a native of Utah, 43 years of age, and had his occupation
listed as gambling dealer.
